Windows 7 and batteries: no bugs to Microsoft
On the reduction of the autonomy of some notebooks with Windows 7, Microsoft meets its operating system. Autonomy decreases because the batteries are exhausted.
A few days ago, we saw in this article, as Microsoft has decided to study the causes that lead to a reduction in the duration of the autonomy of some portable PCs and netbooks with operating system Windows 7, compared to the old OS Windows XP and Vista. Many users complain, in fact, on the various forums that the autonomy of diminishes their laptops for several minutes to several hours after you install Windows 7 instead of Windows XP or Windows Vista.

Some claim to display a Windows 7, which calls for replacing the battery. The Redmond company, after many trials circulated on the Net, has indicated several days ago to be at work to study the phenomenon. Microsoft announced the first results of its investigation and reveals, surprisingly, that its new operating system Windows 7 will not cause any problems. Indeed, for the moment, the company focuses on the error messages that some users will see. The result, after study and comparison with its partners, which in this case, Windows 7 is not liable.
Microsoft says that the warning system is actually a new tool designed for Windows 7 (not present in XP and Vista so), which is based on data from the BIOS battery for a diagnosis. If the tool detects that the battery only runs at 40% of its original capacity, then the system sounds the alarm. Consequently, a battery that offers 5 hours of battery life, it can only offer two hours of operation as it combines to Windows Seven.
The Redmond company added that the battery loses much of its physiological capacity after several months of use, even in the latest laptops. At the moment, however, this statement does not justify nor explain why some users found a decrease of autonomy after the migration to Windows 7. We are currently awaiting clarification from Microsoft, and especially a solution, which we hope will be available soon for interested users.
