Touchscreen Notebook: Boom in 2015

Gartner has published a few days ago the results of a recent study: more than half of people aged under 15 years will be provided with a portable computer with touch screen 2015.

Although this analysis will happy when companies invest in the field of computer touch screen, the information gleaned should be studied carefully. Leslie Fiering, an analyst at Gartner, states that the adoption of touchscreen notebooks will be less important in the business sector and small enterprises, so as not to exceed 10% in 2015. Why? Simply because the professionals have difficulty in moving from traditional couple keyboard / mouse to touch screen in their work.

Users, especially young people, brakes would not use a touchscreen laptop. However, PCs will touch much more widespread over the next 5 years compared to 2009, when they accounted for 2% of sales. The feature that wins most consumers is the presence of multitouch, a technology that took off thanks to Apple iPhone. The multitouch technology, which appeared in the months ahead also on computers, is supported natively by the operating system Microsoft Windows 7, launched in late October 2009.

When those who choose to purchase a touchscreen notebook users are often attracted by the possibility of more complete multimedia experience thanks to multitouch, like playing movies, newspapers and ebooks, and to a lesser extent video games. American schools would be particularly interested in the computer touch screen representing a potential educational interesting (not books, can draw graphs, etc etc) because you can deal with elements on the screen through one or more fingers or a stylus.
