Skype for Symbian will allow users of Nokia smartphones around the world to use Skype while traveling, either through Wi-Fi or via mobile data connection (GPRS, EDGE, 3G). The application can be downloaded for free from Skype or Ovi Store, Nokia for mobile content. Skype will work on any work for Symbian smartphones using Symbian v 1, the most recent version of the Symbian platform. Skype will soon launch this client on Symbian also other manufacturers, including Sony Ericsson.
Skype and Nokia have announced the launch of Skype for Symbian, a Skype client for Nokia smartphones based on Symbian, the most popular smartphone platform in the world.
