At the official launch of Samsung Wave on stage at the MWC in Barcelona, to which Technology news was present, the Korean company showed the first netbooks with built-in modem 4G LTE. The Samsung netbook will be available in coming months.
As seen up to now, Samsung (but Alche other leading companies in the sector) has offered Netbook with 4G connectivity, including Samsung N150, N210 and N220, but only compatible with WiMAX networks. Yesterday, the Korean company has officially introduced the first netbook with modem and 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution). The netbook above will be available in the coming months with 4G LTE modems, the new generation of mobile technology designed to transmit data at faster speeds, reducing latency for users.

A Netbook Samsung N150 was used for the demonstration of capability and potential of LTE chipset with integrated Kalmia. Long Term Evolution will still be implemented on netbook Samsung N150, N210 and N220, whose technical characteristics will be similar to models currently on the market. This will be a 10.1-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 and Intel Atom N450 processor at 1.66GHz.
At the moment we do not know if the LTE will increase the selling price of these netbooks, but the implementation of the chipset LTE-Kalma will be closely linked to demand in the market. The first phase of production started in 2009, but testing will continue in 2010.
