Samsung Bada 2.0 for smartphone.
Samsung has announced the release of Samsung Bada 2.0 version of its platform for smartphones. This new and improved version of Samsung’s mobile operating system now includes the Near Field Communication (NFC), HTML 5 and WAC, multitasking and speech recognition.
Samsung has improved the user experience offered by the terminal bay with the introduction of a custom lock screen, a 3D layout and sound management. Since the official release, mind has continued to evolve to improve the user experience and to allow developers to create applications with increasingly advanced functionality. Thanks to these improvements, the new version of the platform is able to compete with other popular smartphone platforms in the market.
The new Samsung Bada 2.0 platform is also equipped with a new and improved software development kit (SDK), which further eases access to the world developers working on Bada operating systems. The SDK includes additional features like an advanced code analyzer and a mortgage faster. All tools that allow developers to debug their applications faster.
The announcement Samsung Bada 2.0 took place during the bada Developer Day, which took place inside the Application Developer Conference (ADC) in App Planet, an event hosted in the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona which was attended by over 200 developers from around the world. Samsung has organized events devoted to developers in over 40 worldwide countries, each time receiving great interest and involvement from the developers.
The Bada Developer Day held at MWC this year has also marked the anniversary of the launch of the first Bada phone based, the Samsung Wave (GT-8500), and has created the opportunity to commemorate their achievements. The developers have shown how Samsung Apps (Samsung Application Store) has grown with the success of the Wave series. The total number of downloads of applications worldwide will exceeds 80 million short, thus demonstrating the growing popularity of smartphones among bada application users.
During the sessions was presented the strategy behind the release of Samsung Bada 2.0. He spoke also of support to developers as a key aspect of efforts to create a Samsung mobile eco-system around a bada perfect, with the introduction of various support services.
Samsung is constantly working to improve support to developers and to expand the ecosystem of partners, so that more people can experience the true benefits of Bada. The Developer Day has shown throughout this session with the ‘Blue Ocean at bada‘, which examined in detail several successful applications. Among these, ‘Com2uS’ and ‘Zkatter’ – which were accepted and sought after with great interest on Samsung Apps. In addition, the session encouraged the involvement of developers and enriched their know-how.
