Panasonic today launched its new Toughbook CF-31, the top model ruggedized. Designed to gain access to applications and data in the most extreme mobile computing, Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 is the latest incarnation of the Toughbook, developed through five generations in the past ten years.

Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 replaces CF-30, which has become a fully rugged device reference for people working in the utilities, emergency services and in the military. Panasonic Toughbook CF-31, available in three different models (Value, Standard and Performance) seems to remain the domain of CF-30 rugged enhancing features, system performance and improved battery life.
Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 has CPU performance than the CF-30 duplicated the same size. Performance and Standard models, the data processing power is due to the use of the Intel Core i5 with vPro Technology. The devices are also designed to take advantage of Intel Turbo Boost Technology Multi-Threading and the intellect in order to maximize CPU performance. The top model has the additional capability of using two graphics mode, allows users to switch from enhanced graphics performance of high-end graphics chip ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 with 512MB of RAM dedicated to those graphics Intel internal HD to save power when on the move.
The ability to view data and applications on the screen even with direct sunlight is vital for the field workers. Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 mounted on the standard models and Performance Circular Polarizing Panasonic Technology offers the best possible visibility on the market with a display brightness of 1000 nits and a low reflection ratio. The CF-31 also has an LCD with flexible mounting to protect the LCD screen from the impacts.
With a magnesium alloy case, present both inside and outside, and the thermal insulation and anti-scratch Panasonic, Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 is the strongest ever created. Tested according to MIL-STD against drops from 180 cm, with extended protection against water, dust, vibration and extreme temperatures, the CF-31 is certified IP65, MIL STD 810g. Homes with a rugged HDD vibration for enhanced protection from falls, a fan HDD and a foam containment system, the CF-31 can also operate in the most critical.
Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 is equipped with Hybrid Cooling System that combines a passive cooling process with a focus. To help the fields engineer to stay connected while on field work, the CF-31 has an expanded wireless capabilities built-in radio antenna mounted on the screen that offers optimal performance on radio WWAN (on option), WLAN, WIMAX (on option ) and Bluetooth. It also includes a dedicated wireless switch, which allows users to turn on and off connections to optimize the time of battery life.
The adapt to changing circumstances is an essential skill for field workers. The CF-31 has an additional built-in slot and configured to a second LAN, modem or firewire. New interfaces such as four USB ports, an HDMI port and an optional webcam complete the package provided by CF-31.
To ensure that technicians and engineers in the field to have a device that can operate for as long as necessary, even when there is no direct access to a power source, the Standard Model CF-31 can operate up to 11.5 hours with Windows 7 . All units also use the Panasonic Utilities Power Management technology to maximize energy efficiency by managing all resources required by the CPU. In addition, Lenovo Toughbook CF-31 runs through high-capacity batteries designed by Panasonic, in order to achieve the highest performance.
To ensure that existing customers can utilize peripheral devices, the CF-31 is compatible with the tray of the car and the CF-30 CF-29 and other devices of previous generations as a screen protector, the docking station and batteries.
