Nvidia Quadro FX 5000M professional graphics card for notebooks

Nvidia is ready for the official launch of graphics solutions for the professional sector. For mobile systems is expected the new Nvidia Quadro FX 5000M with SLI Mosaic Mode and 3D Vision Pro.


Nvidia is planning the release of several professional Quadro solutions belong with the line. Specifically, the producer is ready for official launch of the Quadro 4000, 5000, 6000 and QuadroPlex 7000 version.

Combining high-performance power processing with advanced visualization, the new Quadro GPUs are the first professional graphics solution in the world to be equipped with ECC (Error Correction Codes) memory and rapidly developed in double IEEE precision floating point. These features are designed for applications requiring the utmost precision, such as medical imaging, finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics.

The new Quadro GPUs are made based on industry standards, including OpenGL 4.1, DirectX 11, DirectCompute and OpenCL. Also, the NVIDIA Quadro leverages proprietary technologies – such as the portfolio of Application Acceleration Engines (AXE) company and the architecture of NVIDIA CUDA parallel processing. Thanks to this, software developers can create and deliver a new generation of business applications that incorporate rich operations demanding calculations. Among these operations are the ray-tracing, the physical simulation, computational fluid dynamics and processing of video effects in real time.

For the notebook sector, is expected nVidia Quadro FX 5000M, a high-performance video card dedicated to business systems with a 320 Stream Processor and equipped with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory dedicated type.

This card uses a 256 bit bus width and has a bandwidth of 76.8 GB / s. Based on what are the intentions of the manufacturer, this model should be available from next September, slightly later than the desktop counterpart.

Nvidia Quadro FX 5000M, based on the architecture Fermi, has nine technology PowerMizier regulating consumption according to type of application to address safeguarding the autonomy of the portable system.

Is also supported 3D Vision Pro technology, the professional version of 3D Vision, through which you can receive content in three dimensions through the use of conventional polarized glasses, as well for consumer platforms.
