Nokia chooses Windows Phone 7 rumor.
Nokia may team up with Microsoft to use its Windows Phone 7? mobile operating system Analysts are optimistic. The big announcement could be set for next Feb. 11. But is it true or just a rumor.
Despite efforts to adapt to the latest market trends, Symbian, and promises on a Meego (currently frozen) strategies, the Nokia financial results report that Symbian is steadily losing market share worldwide. The latest estimates, in fact, the Finnish company maintains its leadership in the world ranking, but in the last quarter of the percentage of Android-based smartphones sold exceeded that of Nokia phones.
Over the past few months, the smartphone giant has tried to make it more attractive Symbian, unifying the development of applications, but the rumors about a possible migration to Android or Windows Phone 7 becoming more insistent (though denied regularly). A few months ago, it was thought that Nokia signed a deal with Google for using Android. Today analysts dream and ask for an upcoming announcement from Nokia and Microsoft to adopt Windows Phone 7. The event date is set for Feb. 11.
Despite these rumors, Nokia would not release details about the conference to be held in the coming days, and then by growing expectations for major announcements. We remind all that Nokia and Microsoft have already collaborated in the past to bring certain services on Symbian, never create closer ties. Nokia’s strategy also is not just based on the platforms. The Finnish company is also engaged in a change that would see her as a services company.
To offer innovative services, however, is essential to have a full control on the platform. There are only guess, but the Feb. 11 conference will light on Nokia’s mobile strategy, as was expected at the presentation of financial results.
