MSI GX780R: Sandy Bridge and Nvidia GeForce GT 555m.
Next to the new line of WindPad 100A and 110W tablet, MSI has a sleek and technical configuration in its gaming notebook. Among which MSI GX780R are based on Intel Huron River and dedicated Nvidia GeForce GT 555m graphics card.

MSI GX780R take a 17.3-inch screen with the bright FullHD (1920×1080) and incorporates an Intel Core i7 Sandy Bridge, coupled with a maximum amount of memory to 16GB of DDR3 RAM. As for storage, this model (in their version of R) will have the two hard drives configured in RAID 0, with a maximum capacity of 500GB 7200rpm each (there is instead only one disc MSI GX780 and GT780 versions).
As always, you can take advantage of the Turbo Drive Engine technology to increase processor performance and MSI Premium Sound and THX TruStudio Pro technology to deliver superb audio quality. The graphics component is what differentiates MSI GT780R from MSI GX780R. The first gaming notebook is equipped with a new Nvidia GeForce GTX 560M graphics card with GDDR5 memory, while MSI GX780R benefits from a new Nvidia GeForce GT 555m with 1GB of GDDR5 memory.
This GPU, as it makes us guess his name, will offer superior performance evens though both fail to satisfy the most demanding gamers. The design of the MSI gamestation is quite elegant with the use of a brushed metal finish on the display-lid and wrist rest, while the chiclet keyboard with numeric keypad has backlight, especially useful in night gaming sessions or keys disting in low light.
MSI lets you customize the color of the backlight of the keyboard through a dedicated software. Above the keyboard, take place a few media buttons decorated with red piping. Like the classic MSI gaming station, MSI GX780R also will feature hues of red and black, with shiny details on the keyboard and bezel screen. The right side houses the optical drive and only 2 USB 2.0 ports, and on the left are audio jacks, the third USB 2.0 port, two USB 3.0 ports and a card reader.
A Kensington Lock connector, power connector, an Ethernet port and HDMI and VGA ports, not to mention an eSATA port, complete the range of interfaces on the back. Below, there are many grids and a battery 7800mAh and 87Whr. MSI GX780R and GT780R will be available by the end of the second quarter of 2011 or the beginning of the third.
