Microsoft keeps track of the period, an increase of 6.66 billion dollars an increase of 60% over a year. Sales of Windows 7, launched on 22 October, have clearly contributed to the excellent results obtained, as Microsoft said Peter Klein, who states that have been disposed of 60 million licenses of this new OS.

This figure takes account of licenses sold with the computer on which Windows 7 has been preinstalled. In the fourth quarter of 2009, Microsoft posted a turnover of 19.02 billion dollars, or an increase of 14% over the same period in 2008.
