Lenovo has released in the U.S., the new Lenovo IdeaPad U160 11.6 inch. DDR3 memory, Intel’s latest processors and a 500 GB hard drives are the main features.
Lenovo IdeaPad U160, which we had already spoken in the past, is a netbook form factor from 11.6 inches equipped with 64 bit at Windows 7 operating system Microsoft. Available for purchase directly from the manufacturer, this mobile system is sold in combination with the latest Intel processors. For example, the basic version uses an Intel Core i5 520UM to 1.06 GHz frequency and has a 320 GB hard drive.

The new Lenovo netbooks, therefore, presents itself as highly portable solution but equipped with a technical high performance does not regret the absence of a real notebook. Available in different colors pleasing and unobtrusive, the Lenovo IdeaPad U160 can be purchased at a base price of $ 699. Obviously, the configuration changes can have important effects on the final price.
For those who want more performance, is also available with Intel Core i7 640UM 1.2 GHz and 500 GB hard drive, certainties has nothing to envy to a traditional notebook. To be precise, you can choose different models of processors, including Intel Celeron, Pentium, Core i3, i5 and i7. Both versions have a 4 GB of DDR3 memory and provide a networking section composed of Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR module and Wi-Fi 802.11n.
The budget for the Lenovo IdeaPad U160 is completed with VGA and HDMI video outputs, built in 1.3 megapixel webcam, 3 USB 2.0, multiformat card reader, eSATA port, stereo speakers and Dolby Sound. From the images available to us, taken at Computex 2010, you can enjoy a particularly small thickness not exceeding 23 mm. The weight is around 1.25 kg if one considers by 3 lithium ion battery cells supplied.
