The line of all-in-one solution for the introduction enhanced home users of the new HP TouchSmart 310, the all-in-one desktop 20-inch that will be available from November to 999 euro.

HP today introduced the next evolution of its line of touchscreen devices. The new HP TouchSmart 310 PC features an attractive design and craftsmanship with the latest version, includes the exclusive HP TouchSmart software. The result for consumers is an even more personal, intuitive and fun.

The latest version of the exclusive HP TouchSmart software turns your desktop into a truly personal space, allowing users to drag free applications, music, photos, video and web content directly to your desktop as “magnetized elements”. The backgrounds at multiple levels increase the perception of depth and perspective of the screen, while a rotating display and search features allow you to complete more easily identify the applications, all with just the gesture of a finger.

The updated software now includes Facebook application for optimized the touchscreen functionality, which makes it even easier to stay in touch with friends and family. You can, for example, create a personalized video message to be published directly to the Facebook page of a friend.

In addition, HP today introduced HP Application Store, which provides, access to free and subscription-based applications provided by partners such as Ubisoft, Marvel Comics and Cartoon Network.

Applications include:

• Marvel Comics: you can read the biggest stories of the Marvel Universe as never before, exploring and viewing the entire library of Marvel comics in digital format.
• Cartoon Network: You can receive constant updates on the programs and personalities of the Cartoon Network.
• A wide range of games with touchscreen functionality ensures maximum enjoyment for the whole family.

The new version of the TouchSmart software will be available in the HP TouchSmart 310 desktop PC, over that in TouchSmart 600. The fourth-generation HP TouchSmart PC is a perfect combination of elegance and high performance. The 20-inch HP TouchSmart 310, even more subtitle and high-definition (1,600 x 900), rests on a base which can reach up to 30 degrees of tilt. The built-in capabilities for wireless LAN, the webcam, the front speakers and optional TV tuner provide unparalleled multimedia experience.

Other features include AMD VISION, ATI Radeon graphics cards and up to one terabyte (TB) of storage (optional). In line with the traditional focus of HP for the environment, the HP TouchSmart 310 PC has received the ENERGY STAR qualified and meets the standards of EPEAT (Electronic Products Environmental Assessment Tool) Silver. In addition, some components are completely free of BFR (Brominated Flame Retardant) or PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride). The HP TouchSmart 310 desktop PC will be available in late November, from 999 Euros.
