HP EliteBook 2740p specs and review in the United States
HP has launched in the United States the new HP EliteBook 2740p, which we had discussed in our previous report. Here are the technical officers, specs and review.

One of the most interesting elements of the expected HP EliteBook 2740p is certainly equal to the weight of the power supply 280grammi with dimensions of 106 x 47 x 28 mm. The new ultraportable HP integrates many applications and technologies like ProtectTools, which includes a utility for encrypting hard drives, password management and system security, QuickWeb to access the internet in seconds even if the notebook is turned off, and also for QuickLook access e-mail and your contacts in a few seconds without having to reboot the system.
Regarding the options, the user can configure their HP EliteBook 2740p Core i5-540m with a 2.53GHz or 2.66GHz Core i7-620m to up to 4GB DDR3 1333MHz, SATA hard disk 250/320GB at 5400rpm or 80GB or 160GB SSD drive modules, 3G and GPS, Ultra-Slim Battery to ensure total autonomy for 11 hours with 6 cell battery, DVD burner outside and even Windows 7 Professional 64bit.
The screen is resistive, then you can use with your fingers or a stylus. Multitouch display, however, is only offered with an optional special treatment for use outdoors, less prone to reflections, with better contrast for optimal viewing even in daylight. HP EliteBook 2740p is compatible with the military standard MIL-STD 810g for vibration, dust, humidity, altitude and extreme temperatures.
The HP tablet sports a stylish design with a brushed metal finish. The keyboard is a model chiclet. The Synaptics touchpad has a vertical scroll zone and two buttons for selection. The connectivity solutions can be found on the sides. The left side houses a slot for the stylus, an SD card reader, ExpressCard34, Firewire and a USB Sleep’N'Charge. To the right are two USB ports and audio jacks, card reader, SC, Modem, Kensington Lock connector and buttons QuickLook and QuickWeb.
In the back, find a place VGA, Ethernet and power connector. The speakers are located in the front. The ultraportable 12.1-inch convertible Tablet PC, HP EliteBook 2740p will be available from next month in the United States at a price of $ 1099
