The race to the fusion of Internet and television continues, with a new competitor. Google is apparently planning to launch because of a new research service TV program, in partnership with Dish Network, satellite TV open to innovation.

Based on the integration of Android code in a software system for managing TV decoder, such as satellite, cable or ADSL, the program is able to search for multimedia content at the same time the hard disk of digital device and online services. This system would then recover in a few seconds a television or a movie, create a personalized TV schedule, or finding and videos on Google Video and YouTube.
According to the Wall Street Journal, which finds the new project company in Mountain View, testing the new service are carried out for about a year and involve the search for keywords, with the help of a keyboard or a remote control. The idea of establishing a link between television and Internet services is not new. Televisions able to network to retrieve personal videos, movies or programs already exist, but the arrival of Google and its search algorithms may counteract the plans of the major American players in the sector, as well as interactive television TiVo.
This digital recording system is now fairly widespread in American and European decoder, so much so that TiVo announced last week a new product, which mingle with traditional TV content on the TV ONLINE.
