BlackBerry smartphones and Tablet incoming

The Canadian manufacturer, Research in Motion (RIM), informed the press that by the end of the year have provided new BlackBerry devices on the market. In particular, there is a device which will compete directly with iPhone 4 and tablet iPad a killer.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the producer Research In Motion (RIM) is involved in developing and implementing new interesting devices. The first of these is a new generation of BlackBerry smartphones with touchscreen multitouch and BlackBerry OS 6.0 Operating System. The device may be revealed in September. According to sources close to RIM, the touchscreen interface is very similar to that of Apple, with a virtual keyboard.

The mobile device should also be equipped with a bar for universal search, to find information on the Web or in data stored in phone memory. There is also talking of a 5 megapixel camera and a storage capacity for 4GB. The WSJ article also shows the commitment of RIM in the creation of a touchscreen tablet, which could see the light later this year. The producer had planned to combine its tablet to a BlackBerry smartphone: the tablet will connect to the network through the mobile phone.

It seems that RIM is planning a new browser, faster, more engaging and intuitive. Although RIM is the leader in U.S. smartphone market, Apple climbs the rankings with an ever increasing rate. The positions may change in coming months, especially if RIM fails to block the rise of other companies.
