Mike Lazaridis, RIM’s chairman, unveiled last Tuesday at the annual event dedicated to Blackberry, the first images of the next version of the operating system installed on your smartphone, BlackBerry OS 6.0.

As expected, the company confirmed the upcoming introduction of a new browser based on Webkit. The latter should be able to handle multiple tabs, tabs and pages at once and zoom on a multitouch screen. In general, the navigator should offer superior performance to the current browser Blackberry OS, as well as improved management of Favorites. BlackBerry OS 6.0 will also lead you in the hall on social networks and instant messaging client, with the rapid exchange of pictures and other files.
According to some elements presented in the video above, the main objective of the Canadian producer (which boasts 41 million users worldwide) is to build a bridge between professionals and consumer customers. This new system should debut in the final version during the third quarter, probably around July. For the moment there are no data on the possibility of migrating a terminal equipped with an earlier version of Blackberry OS to the new one.
