ASUS continues its collaboration with Bang&Olufsen unveiled two new models of the Asus N53 and Asus N73. This is Asus N53JN and N73JN equiped with Optimus nVidia technology.

A collaboration between ASUS and Bang & Olufsen note created two new mobile series Asus N53 and Asus N73. It is dedicated to multimedia solutions, equipped with powerful Intel processors and the latest Optimus nVidia technology dealing with activities, so automatically, the dedicated video card if the computing needs of the moment dictate. Thus the autonomy of the systems can be advantageously maintained.
Specifications
Asus N53JN and Asus N73JN, these trade names of the two new models, they differ substantially for the form factor, 15.6 inches by the first and 17.3 inches by the second, as the acronym suggests. Both devices provide the user the full power of Intel Core (i5 2.4 GHz for Asus N73 and Core i3 2.4 GHz for Asus N53) and have a discrete video card nVidia GeForce GT 325M 1 GB of memory (which can be made available soon also the GeForce GT 415M, not yet officially announced).
The RAM cans reach 4GB guaranteeing a certain longevity to the products while, about storage, hard drives are planned in various denominations up to 500 GB. Asus N73JN model can be equipped with two hard drives 320GB reaching capacity considerably 640GB. The networking section consists of Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR module.
The configuration of the two notebook includes an integrated webcam, ideal for keeping in touch with friends and colleagues, optical drive (optional on Bluray), 6 cells Lithium Ion Battery and Windows 7 operating system from Microsoft.
Evidently, a component that distinguishes the two devices is the display. ASUS N53JN a 15.6 inches LED backlight panel mounts with a resolution of 720p, while his older brother uses a version of 1600 x 900 pixel resolution.
Price
According to the information that are circulating on the Internet in the last hour, ASUS N53JN enter the manufacturer’s price list in November 2010 and will cost close to $ 1,000, about 780 euros at current exchange rates.
The 17 inches model will be priced $ 1,700 (1,340 euros) but it is unclear when it will be released on the market. You cannot predict an exact date for availability in your country. Recall that in the last hours, the manufacturer has released the Asus Eee PC 1015PEM equipped with the new Intel Atom N550 Dual Core, whose availability was announced recently by the Californian chipmaker.
