Acer Aspire One 522 with APU AMD Ontario C-50.
Acer is ready to market the first netbook with AMD Ontario platform, the Acer Aspire One 522, based on the same design that made it popular Acer Aspire One D255.
Although the AMD Fusion was waiting on an Acer Ferrari One 11-inch (from rumors spread last summer), Acer Aspire One 522 will be the first solution Taiwanese company to integrate the APU AMD Ontario C-50. The netbook in question has a design identical to that of Aspire One D255, but has a dark green color, quite different from that made famous Acer Aspire One Happy. Based on APU AMD Ontario C-50 dual core with 1GHz (TDP 9W) and Radeon 6250 graphics component, capable of supporting DirectX11 libraries and UVD3 video decoding.

The 10.1-inch display has a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, while the interfaces between signal the presence of a HDMI port. This budget will allow for playback of digital content in high definition. Unfortunately, unlike the Acer Aspire One D255, Acer Aspire One 522 has only one speaker. Autonomy estimated and stated by the manufacturer is 6 consecutive hours of work (2 hours less of AAO D255), but we have no information about the model included drum.

We just have to wait until the first week of January to see the first live pictures and specifications official of the Acer Aspire One 522. The netbook, it will be presented at CES 2011 in Las Vegas. Stay tuned!
